Week 2 of the Summer 2 term has been very exciting with an opportunity to cheer on the women in the Aviva World Tour Cycling race. The children made flags and we researched about the British team and the different coloured shirts to look out for before we went. Wednesday morning we then walked over the common and down a lane until we reached the cycle path and waited excitedly! It wasn't a boring wait as you may expect as there were police bikes and cars hooting their horns and waving to the children as they went past. It was a fantastic atmosphere and everyone there enjoyed it. The moment the bikes came down the lane, everyone was cheering and waving their flags. Moments later, it was all over as the bikes were travelling at some speed! Below are some photos we took.

English- This week it has been the Queen’s birthday celebrations. We have had a day in school learning about the Queen and her family. I would like you to create a fact file about the Queen using the knowledge you have learnt this week. You may even be able to find some more facts about her.

Maths- I would like you to play the game we play in class with a dice. Roll the dice to create 5 multiplication questions. Work out the answers and then record in the inverse. (Division) For example: 5x7=35 so  35÷5=7 or 35÷7=5. You may also want to add a zero on to one of your dice answers to make it more challenging. E.g. 40 (instead of 4) x8= 320 so 320÷8=40. Record these calculations in your home learning book.
